Sure, you’d like to do that, but it takes a lot more work in the beginning in order to make it look that easy. There... Continue Reading

We were excited about Mac's offering a camp for kids to get certified. I called to find all the info I could. After speaking to Matt whom was very informative I was ready to sign up. Matt said he would love to but needed me to come down to the shop and fill out paper work and sign in person. Okay I took the info and sent to friends which included required equipment start time/ and camp dates dive info, where and when w/ dates ect. On Monday stopped in to fill out paper work and leave a deposit. We waited as both sales guys were working with people( Mike and Kevin). Glad when they were finished as it was a while. Surprised that the dive master took someone else who just popped into the store. Hard to miss 3 children and a mom who were the only people waiting and clearly was next. I waited but it's been about 40mins plus now. I mentioned to the kids we needed to get going soon as we have an event on the beach to get to. Finally as the man was calling someone he looked up and asked if I was here to sign up for a class. I said we were here to sign up for a camp. He seemed unfamiliar with the camp I was referring to, so I explained the start time and days it was taking place (few weeks out still). I explained I was here to fill out the paperwork. He went back to speaking to the man he took in front of us. I waited for him to finish. After he explained that first I had to buy required equipment. I said I was just here to fill out the paper work and leave a deposit for the class. He said no I had to buy the equipment. I said I understand I have to have the required equipment; however, I am here to sign the paper work. I explained my son will be prepared for class. I will have everything he needs for the day of class. Can I please fill out the paper work? He said no! I had to pay not only for the class, but also for the equipment. I started to feel uncomfortable. I said fine it's the money you want up front for the class I will do that in the next day or two, I said can I please take the paper with me and fill it out? I said my husband will come with my son and take him to get his equipment. He said no there is not much paper work and I could fill it out the pay of camp. He said he would bend the rules and I can leave a deposit. I said good let's do that would 50.00 work for a deposit for class? He said no you have to pay for the class in full and leave a deposit for equipment. I felt sick to my stomach. There is a young boy excited and brave and this man is making him feel uncomfortable. The dive master seemed to be getting very annoyed I wouldn't buy equipment and give him the money now. One I understand if you like to have the class paid for by a certain time before the class starts. Also there should be no pressure none to buy anything. I am disappointed and still stunned by the way we were treated. Please bring back the Johnson's!
